Day Student Experience
Living twenty minutes away from campus, Izzy is a day student at Brewster.
Day students at Brewster experience the full impact of Brewster–academically, socially, athletically, artistically–that boarding students do. The only difference is that they don't sleep in the dorms at night (although they can arrange sleepovers on the weekends if they want to!). Some day students choose to stay on campus through the evening, eating dinner in the dining hall and taking advantage of the communal spaces. Others prefer to go home after their afternoon commitment for a home-cooked meal.
Izzy came to Brewster for its diverse offerings in and out of the classroom–and she has taken full advantage so far!

Community Service
Izzy is quick to participate in community service opportunities. One of the service-oriented clubs she takes part in is Brewster Best Friends (BBF). This club puts on events for local children. A favorite event is the BBF Halloween Spooktacular Event (pictured here).
An Avid Climber
Izzy is an avid outdoor enthusiastic, so it's no surprise that her afternoons reflect this. In the fall and spring, Izzy is in Outdoor Skills six days a week. You can find this group practicing skills in our on-campus climbing barn or taking advantage of the many local hikes and climbing spots nearby.
Math Tutor
Izzy is a proud tutor in Brewster's Math Tutor Center, which is held in the Kenison Library three evenings a week during Study Hall. Many students take advantage of this amazing resource. As a tutor, Izzy helps other students with their math assignments and upcoming tests.
